Serious Health

Challenge: Create a branded, printed artifact that communicates a self-initiated cause or movement

Solution: I created an awareness campaign about everyday phrases that are said to dismiss mental health. The problem with these phrases is that they do more harm than good. Using "Suck it up" or "Snap out of it" disregards someone's wellbeing. Mental health isn't as easy to just "snap out of it". I created a series of posters by taking objects and creating a visual example of what those phrases mean in a fun and humorous way. This is to make the audience understand that these sentences are in fact, illogical.

I wanted the logo to be bold and powerful but yet, friendly. I created underlining that begins at S and ends at H to bind the two words together. It is clean and simple but yet inspires people to take action.

I photographed the objects in a studio and then created the colourful backgrounds in Photoshop.
